Cool Summer Cocktails

There is something about warm weather that makes us long for the chance to sip cool summer cocktails. Maybe it’s a chance to break out of our usual routines and make summer feel like an endless time to celebrate. Blended drinks with frothy ice seem to infuse an element of festive into lazy summer afternoons or outdoor barbecues with friends and neighbors.

Cocktails from the forties and fifties have made a huge comeback and are bigger than ever before, adding a level of excitement and anticipation to any party or casual get together. Now, it’s easy to find an array of flavorful mixers and rimmers in local stores. Martinis are an easy crowd pleaser and work any time of year. Mojitos are more exotic and are refreshing when served with strong, spicy foods. You don’t have to be an expert to mix a simple cocktail and set the mood for fun. And cocktail recipe gift sets make the perfect gift for anyone, especially this time of year when it’s sure to be enjoyed.

Here’s an easy recipe that will please everyone. Cheers!
